A large species reaching up to 15mm in size. Has a deep, large, circular umbilicus, and a wide aperture. Sutures are deep and have a stepped shape. Sculpture variable of numerous concentric cords. The columella has a basal fold. Distinguished from Gibbula umbilicata by the large aperture and basal fold, from Gibbula albida by the large umbilicus.
